My Hot Wheels story

1. 🧸

   Chapter 1: The first one

   It started with one tiny car. 'Just one,' I said. That sentence has now been tested far too many times and failed every single test.

2. 🐞

   Chapter 2: Occupational hazard

   I'm a Software Quality Analyst. I find bugs for a living. So yes, I inspect every new car for paint chips, wobbly wheels and misaligned decals before it's allowed on the shelf. Bug reports have been filed against at least three of them.

3. 🛒

   Chapter 3: E-commerce brain

   I work in digital operations for e-commerce. This means I know exactly how many clicks it takes to buy another Hot Wheels — and that number is dangerously low.

4. 🏓

   Chapter 4: The other hobby

   When I'm not lining up cars, I play table tennis. Both hobbies involve small objects moving fast and me shouting when they fall off the table.

5. 🏁

   Chapter 5: Today

   The garage keeps growing. My desk keeps shrinking. Negotiations with the family about shelf space are ongoing.
